WESTLAKE is Hiring a Maintenance Lead Near Salisbury, NC
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct employees in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Direct employees engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- Assist employees in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Responsible for scheduling, maintaining, repairing, and overall operation of assigned machinery and equipment.
- Responsible for completion of work orders and associated preventive maintenance paperwork.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Requisition and keep supply of spare parts.
- Study production schedules and estimate employee hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Enforce safety regulations.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Confer with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Coordinate activities of employees in making repairs to buildings.
- Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
- Comply with established safety rules.
- Comply with company policy and procedures.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and Superintendent.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of Superintendent.
- High school diploma or three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent from two year college or technical school.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Computer skills are also required, as well as strong organizational skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
